thats on 2nd ave. and 25th isnt it?
I don’t know much about that dealer.
the quarter in circulated condition could be worth $2 – $3
it would be worth more if Uncirculated or a Proof.
It could also be silver or clad. depending on what month of the year it was made.
check the side of the coin to see if it is plain silver or clad with copper. you could also drop it on a table to listen if it makes a thud (clad) or "TING" (silver)
Also, go to the library and see if they have a copy of
"The Redbook" A GUIDEBOOK OF UNITED STATES COINS
this will have retail values of US coins.
January 2007 coin prices :
Washington Quarter 1964 & 1964-D
(silver 90% copper 10%. 0.1809 oz of pure silver)
VF20 $2.50
EF40 $2.75
AU50 $3.00
MS60 $3.50
MS63 $4.00

Have no idea of the dealer, I have never done business with him. As for the coin, it is made out of silver period. It is the last of the 90% quarters and had a mintage of 564,341,347. No clad ones were minted for circulation or for any sets. Most circulated ones are worth only the silver value which fluctuates between 7X-8X times face. Dealers buy somewhere in between that. Only proofs and high mint state ones have a greater value and that is not that much. I can’t find a dealer price but retail is about $4.00 in mint state and that’s 8X face.
